Water bodies, streams, ditch, bore wells, brook, water channel, dike, gully etc are expected to be towards North, Northeast or East directions only. Preferable location is Northeast. Vastu shastra lays down the principle that the deepest point in any premises should be towards the Northeast direction.
If for any reason this is not always possible then North and East are optional. Further preferable placement for clean water bodies is towards East direction whereas soak pits, septic tanks, oxidation ponds should preferably towards North direction. If it is inevitable this may be interchanged.
Whereas in small and medium industries and factories there may not be need of large amount of water in several cases extra water sources would have to be searched to meet the water requirements. In which case bore wells become a necessity. (Plants manufacturing carbonated waters, chemical plants etc).
Where bore wells are inevitable it is essential that these are located only towards Northeast.
When water demand is large it is quite possible that at times Northeast does not yield adequate quantum of water and you may have to search other parts of the same premises. In which case such water should be pumped towards a pond specially created for this purpose in Northeast and from here it is taken to the various consumer points.
In many places a overhead tank is a necessity for aiding the gravity flow. People suggest such overhead tanks which invariably are the high points in a construction to be at Southwest.
Per se, we have no objection for this. One should ensure that there is no overflow due to malfunctioning of valves in the water tanks.
If there is an overflow see to it that it is attended to instantly for a wet surface in Southwest is unhealthy for the health of the factory or factories. If however such overflow is naturally guided towards Northeast wetness due to overflow on Southwest side is not objectionable.
For a medium and small sized factory a bore well in the Northeast is extremely benevolent and adequate a pond may not be required. If the factory premises is more bigger then it may require well not the bore well or a water body etc. A small bore may not adequately support to the bigger factory. Further following the exact vastu principles may not be possible in certain properties. In such case we have to find the best option out of available circumstances in that locality, our suggestion is the too worst property finally makes the inhabitants position most worst. By having a good idea, take the fortunate decision, your decision is most important in your/labor/family members future. Don't select the negative impact properties to run your industry there.
Unnecessarily don't waste your resources for a negative impact property. Observe the water bodies position to the premises thereafter take the decision to start y our construction or not. This would be best practice.
The shape of the water sump should preferably be round for maximum benefits though the rectangular and square shapes don???t give adverse results.
However for a huge factory complex bore well does not bestow as much as in a medium and or a small industry or industries. In such cases, reasonably a large open pond towards Northeast alone would give appropriate results. Where bore well is inevitable create a large water body on the Northeast to derive the full benefits. Either of the ponds shown could be used. Note that line drawn from Northeast of the plot to the Northeast of the factory does not pass through the pond in either case. In this image we were shown two wells, this is only for your kind information purpose only, actually, it requires only one water body either Northeast-east or Northeast-north placement.
Bigger factories always require bigger ponds, small water bodies may not fully workout here. Care has to be taken regarding streams or water bodies towards West, Southwest and South directions. One has to clearly observe the surroundings vastu before starting the plant, honestly speaking this could save entire thought of your business.
While creating the water sump in the Northeast corner ensure the same is on either side of a line drawn from the Northeast point of the premises to the Northeast corner of the building. If the open space between the factory building and Northeast corner of the premises is significantly high then this rule may not be insisted upon.

Water bodies towards West may damage the position of the factory. The stumbling moment may not be safe to the capitalists, once there is a water body at West then the position of the factory may be stumbling.
Runnel towards Southwest, South or West direction may not fetch factory development.
Runnel towards Northeast, East and North are appreciated.
Deep water bodies towards Southwest may damage the vastu strength of the structure.
Quick sand is different and water bodies are different. One should note this point.
